Lauren & Eric, Wedding Venue: Brick South, Portland, Maine

Lauren & Eric’s wedding at Brick South Events & Planning at Thompson’s Point, Portland, Maine was a wonderful wedding to design for. The color palette for the wedding was white, black & blue. As I developed the wedding floral design, I added in a range of purples too. I especially enjoyed designing for this wedding, because the space is very dramatic, with an industrial edge. Brick, exposed wood, cement floors, a vast open area. I created areas of intimacy, in the large warehouse style space. The theme was an Enchanted Woodland, with elements of the Maine coastal forests. The couple hails from Massachusets so I was creating an intimate and moving floral setting, for a Maine destination wedding. The wedding party flowers were delivered to the Westin Portland Harbor View. At the Westin, makeup by Christina LaCroix and by Darian Di Mauro, both from Boston, were styling the wedding party.

After wedding styling in Portland, the wedding party rode in a trolley to Fort Knox, in Cape Elizabeth for pictures. The bridal bouquet, bridesmaids, and groomsmen florals all looked fabulous in the setting of the misty fort.

The ceremony urns & aisles arrangements I created, featuring lanterns, made an intimate, enchanted forest wedding florals setting.

The reception tables with wedding compote table arrangments, candles, and hand gathered forest elements made for a gorgeous and dramatic setting.

Each Maine wedding I create artisan florals for uniquely expresses my bride and groom. This wedding at Brick South was a beautiful expression of Lauren & Eric, their love. Destination wedding florals are one of my floral design specialties.
